This article will guide you in downloading the production app before it's released to the app stores. This particular version of the app is exactly the same as the one customers will be downloading when it's released. This means that payments will be processed and orders will end up in your systems.

Please note that there's a difference between the test-app (or beta app) and downloading the production app before it's released. With the test-app you'll be able to set the language, country, merchant environment and more.

iOS - How to download the app through Testflight?

  1. Start by creating or picking out an Apple App Store account that you will use to download the app in TestFlight. To be able to download the app you will need to be logged in in the App Store with that account.
  2. Download the ‘TestFlight’ app from the App Store.

Next you will need to go to App Store Connect and invite the Apple account as a user in your App Store Connect account. The following steps will explain how.

  1. Go to App Store Connect (https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/)
  2. Login with your General App Store account.
  3. Go to 'Users and Access'.
  4. Press the ‘plus’ icon to add your test account. The role of the test account has no influence on this process.
  5. Next, at the top of the screen click on 'Users and Access' to open the dropdown. Click on 'My Apps' and select the right app.
  6. In the top navigation select ‘TestFlight’.
  7. In the left navigation, under ‘Testers & Groups’ select ‘App Store Connect Users’.
  8. Pres plus behind ‘Testers’. You will get to see a list with all the users in the App Store Connect account.
  9. Select the account that you want to download the app with. You will receive an e-mail from TestFlight. Follow the instruction in the e-mail.
  10. You’re now able to download the latest app from the TestFlight app. Every time a new version of the app is submitted, it will also be available in TestFlight.

Please note:

  • Accounts will need to be registered as testers only once.
  • Testers will only receive new app versions as long as they remain testers in App Store Connect.
  • The app you download through TestFlight will replace the live app on your phone.
  • New builds will be availble in TestFlight for 90 days.

Android - How to download the app in the Google Play Store?

Unlike how it works for iOS, for Android you will need some help from the Highstreet support team. The support team will need to prepare the production version of the app in the Play Store Beta track. Next, follow the steps below.

  1. Login in the Google Play Store console, select your app and go to the dashboard. In the left menu select 'Release management' and go to 'App releases'. On this page you will see an overview of all the tracks. After the Highstreet support team has prepared it, your app will be available in the Closed Beta track.
  2. In the Closed Beta track section, click on 'Manage'.
  3. If necessary, fold open the tab that says 'Manage testers'. You will get to see a screen like the image below.
  4. In the Users section you will need to add the e-mail address of the user(s) who will be testing the app.
Note: It's also possible to send the Highstreet support team a list of all users who will be testing the app.
  5. Next, copy the Opt-in URL and paste it in your mobile browser. You will get to see a Google login screen. Make sure that you’re logged in with the Google account that you’re also logged in with in Google Play. Going to this Opt-in URL will activate your account as an app tester.
  6. Follow the steps on the web page.
  7. Open the Play Store. Open the menu, select My apps & games. The app will be visible in both the 'updates' lane and the 'BETA' lane. Every time a new version of the app is submitted, it will also be available in the Play Store.
