Our Content Extensions feature offers endless possibilities to enrich your app with your own content. You can integrate this content seamlessly into the app experience without any involvement of the Highstreet team.
Examples of Content Extensions are branded content pages about a new category or collection. Before Content Extensions customers were always sent directly to the category view in the app showing just products. Now however, you can create a special story about that new category and send your customers there from home. Then from that story, they still seamlessly end up in the app's category view or product views to buy the product.
How do content extensions work?
Content extensions allow you to send customers to web content, that's already available on your website, without them realising they are 'leaving' the app. You can link to content extensions from the home experience, a product description or the account screen.
Best practice: DENHAM
Let's look at an example from DENHAM. They were running a campaign and created a rich content page on their website. In the first screen you can see that they place a campaign video on their home wall. This video tile was linked to a content extension.
Tapping on the video would lead you to the page from their website, where you could read all about the latest campaign. When scrolling down a bit, a button with a call to action would appear that said: 'shop the jacket'.
Tapping the button leads you back to the app, directly to the product detail view you are expecting to see. The customer never knew he left the app, had a great experience and can continue shopping in the app directly.
